director' note
Contemporary cities are much more complex than the ones we have inherited from our forebears. Organisms in continuous grow, heterogeneous, stratified, multiethnic and cluttered. We feel them distant from our needs, often uncomfortably and dangerous spaces where to let our children grow.
But something is happening all over the world. A new and extraordinary process of regeneration and transformation that is getting back humans to their vital spaces. Tiny but tangible bottom-up revolutions in which new technologies and art are helping communities to change their places, their cities.
With Art for Change we will recount in 4 episodes, shot in the Southern Europe, the stories of common people involved in tiny revolutions which are changing the face of our suburbs.
